Greek Yogurt Stuffed Strawberries

Who doesn’t love strawberries? I love to eat them with some cool whip, in a sinful frozen margarita, or filled with some plain Greek yogurt.

I switched to eating plain Greek yogurt instead of the ones with fruit because I just couldn’t ignore how much extra sugar they had. Nowadays, I’m looking for something that has 10g of sugar or less. I’ll usually throw in my own fresh fruit and get my sugar kick that way instead.

Since I’m a home cook working miracles in my tiny New York City kitchen, I don’t have room in my drawers for every fancy tool out there. So, I used a good ‘ol straw to poke holes in my strawberries.

I wiggle the straw a bit to create some room, and from there, I just eyeball it and scoop some yummy Greek yogurt inside and then top it with a dash of cinnamon.

The perfect bite.
The perfect bite.

Since my waistline would hate me if I had a margarita everyday (a girl can dream though), I make these instead to satisfy my sweet tooth. Topped with some cinnamon and maybe even a drizzle of honey, and you’ve got yourself a make-believe cheesecake without all the extra fat and calories.

So delicious! Buen provecho XO
