One year in Hong Kong!
I’m a few months late writing this post as we just added a new member to our growing family, our beautiful daughter Grace Adeline. I wanted to share a few thoughts about my journey as an expat, wife and mum living in Hong Kong. There is a bit of a learning curve and adjustment period that anyone who lives in a foreign country goes through, ranging from feeling isolated and/or depressed, and wanting to run back to where you used to live, to surprising themselves, when they realize one day that they’re genuinely having some fun, and constructed somewhat of a life here now. One year later I’m still trying to…

No matter how long you have traveled..

Why settle?
Why do we feel as adults (supposedly older and wiser) that we need to settle? As kids and teens we certainly never did. But somehow now as adults, it’s expected. Along with learning societal rules and values, we also learned how to settle, and never expect more than what was given to you. I say forget that shit! It’s never too late, and you’re never too old to renew, refocus and reinvent your life! XOXO, Helen

Like A Boss!
I saw this on Nicey Nash’s instagram, and just had to bring it over here on my site. How true is this friends? All those things that we thought we couldn’t survive — we did! Like a boss! Happy hump day. XOXO Helen

To Save The World, Start With Yourself
To save the world, start with yourself. Cheers to a new week and new beginnings to you all. Remember, changing how you feel about yourself and how you see the world you live in, starts with what’s going on inside your head. We are after all, a sum of our dreams, actions and our thoughts. XOXO Helen

#TBT That time before I discovered a flat iron.
Happy almost TGIF! I was always daddy’s little girl and I used to beg him to take me to work, a conference…. anywhere just so I could hang with him because I thought he was so cool, and I wanted to be a doctor too.

Don’t let your limited situation, limit you.
Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This Sunday I had my first group coaching of the year to a group of incredibly brave women. We all have goals and dreams, but many of us are content with leaving them there instead of doing the work it takes to make them a reality. As much as we may cry and pray for change, when push comes to shove it’s actually safer to stay the same. You already know what to expect. The unknown is crazy scary, but that’s where miracles happen. We’ve all been in a situation that limits us. Finances, lack of family support and…

All those things you’ve always wanted to do, yeah you should do them!
I’m writing this now still with a knot in my stomach, and a very heavy heart. Yesterday I started to get texts and Facebook messages from friends asking me if my sister was ok.

Why do you want to be fit?
That’s one of the first questions I ask anyone who comes to me for help. You want to get fit, be healthier and probably lose some weight during the process, right? However, have you stopped and asked yourself why? Why now? Since I’m constantly reevaluating and updating my own personal short-term and long-term goals, it’s also a question I ask myself constantly.
